Andrew Bediako

Group Chairman

Andrew is a Pharmacist with MSc (Med) degree from MEDUNSA. He worked as a lecturer for Masters Students in the School of Pharmacy for two years, with a focus on Clinical Pharmacology. Andrew studied Monitoring and Evaluation course from the University of Pretoria. He is qualified and registered as an Assessor with the South African Pharmacy Council.

He is the co-founder of the company and he successfully managed two of the company owned Pharmacies in Pretoria. Andrew is responsible for the successful management of the retail Pharmacy division of the company and international liaison. His business skills are an asset to the company and ensure good financial management of the company. He is a registered Pharmacist with the Ghana Pharmacy Board and the South African Pharmacy Council and has vast knowledge of Pharmaceutical drug registration for the West African market.

Mogologolo Phasha

Group Chief Executive

Mogologolo is a Pharmacist with MSc (Med) degree from MEDUNSA. He worked for MEDUNSA School of Pharmacy and the Health Systems Trust as a Researcher for two years. He also worked for the South African Pharmacy Council as an ad hoc Inspector of Pharmacies and has a vast knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry and its regulations. He is qualified and registered as an Assessor with the South African Pharmacy Council.

Mogologolo is the founder of the company and he actively managed the first company owned retail Pharmacy in Pretoria Central with overwhelming success. He studied financial management and bookkeeping, which equipped him with a relevant knowledge to successfully manage this company.

Mogologolo studied Managing Business Turnaround from Wits Business School. Upon leaving MEDUNSA, he acted as an external examiner for Masters, MSc (Med) students by the University of Limpopo (MEDUNSA Campus). He is responsible for the overall management of the company and strategic planning for all the projects that the company embarks on. His intense business skills have ensured that Black IQ progress from strength to strength over the years and continue to have even a brighter future ahead of it.


Director: Retail Pharmacies

Emmanuel Manngo holds a B.Pharm degree with UNIN, completed in 1999. Though he started his career in hospital pharmacy, his career life has since been community pharmacy. He has an extensive knowledge on primary healthcare management and rational drug use experience. He has managed to tutor 10 basic pharmacist assistant students in retail pharmacy to date.

Emmanuel is Black IQ’s director in retail pharmacies and his responsibilities are mostly based in the pharmacies in the north of the country. He oversees recruitment and pharmacy projects in seven pharmacies.

He is based in the Burgersfort pharmacy and is currently pursuing a masters’ degree in business leadership with Unisa as part of his personal developmental plan

Bontle Mabote

Bontle is a Microbiologist and Pharmacist and graduated from the University of the Western Cape. She also holds a Business Management Diploma from the University of South Africa. She has a huge knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory affairs as she worked for the Medicine Control Council in the National Department of Health before joining Black IQ.

Bontle managed two of the company-owned pharmacies and has sound managerial expertise. She is registered as an assessor with the South African Pharmacy Council, where she advises on all regulatory matters and handles all international trade requirements.
